What is BarLine?
BarLine is a player prop analytics dashboard that aggregates multi-sportsbook odds, hit-rate trends, expected value, vig, and arbitrage signals so you can research and compare NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL player props in one place. It is an informational tool, not a sportsbook. you cannot place bets on BarLine.
Which sports and leagues does BarLine cover?
BarLine covers player props for the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL. Availability of a given league depends on whether it is currently in season.
What do the L5, L10, L20, and H2H hit rates mean?
L5, L10, and L20 are the share of a player's last 5, 10, and 20 games in which they went over the current prop line. H2H is the hit rate against a specific opponent. They are shown as percentages from 0 to 100. A higher means the player has cleared that line more often in that sample.
What is expected value (EV) on a player prop?
Expected value is an analytics metric that estimates the long-run value of a line at its posted price by combining the modeled probability with the payout the odds imply. A positive EV means the price looks favorable relative to that probability; a negative EV means it does not.
What are vig and no-vig probability?
Vig (or juice) is the sportsbook's built-in margin baked into the odds on both sides of a line. No-vig probability removes that margin to estimate the book's true implied probability for the over and under, giving a fairer baseline to compare against a model projection.
What are arbitrage signals?
An arbitrage signal flags when the best available over price at one sportsbook and the best under price at another would mathematically lock in a profit on both sides of a line. BarLine surfaces the books, prices, and implied profit percentage as an informational signal that is not a guarantee of outcome. it does not facilitate any wagers.
How are the model picks generated?
BarLine surfaces two prediction types. The statistical model blends recent and head-to-head hit rates with sport-specific weightings and value filters. The ML model is a machine-learning prediction. The Predictions page lets you view each model or only the picks where both agree.
What does the Skull Crusher badge mean?
The Skull Crusher badge marks players who dominate a specific matchup at a 70% or higher head-to-head hit rate over at least three games against the opponent. The badge color grades with dominance: amber for 70-79%, lime for 80-89%, and green for 90% or higher.
What do the fire and snowflake streak badges mean?
The fire badge marks a player on an active over streak against the current line, and the snowflake badge marks an active under streak. A 'Due' badge flags a historically strong player who is currently cold and may be a bounce-back candidate.
How often is the data updated?
Sportsbook odds and live game stats refresh continuously throughout the day, and the consistency leaderboard refreshes about every 30 minutes. Live props update on a short polling interval while a game is in progress.
Where do the stats and odds come from?
Player stats and game logs are sourced from ESPN, and sportsbook lines are aggregated across major books. Live game data is pulled from live boxscore feeds while games are in progress.
Does BarLine take bets or give betting advice?
No. BarLine is an analytics and research tool, not a sportsbook. You cannot place wagers on BarLine, and nothing here is betting advice or a guarantee of outcomes. Odds and lines are shown for informational and comparison purposes only.
